Grind is a saturation/distortion plugin that is said to be a powerhouse and also a Swiss army knife for sound design. It goes from comparatively gentle tube type saturation to full-on audio mangling distortions.
Grind By Audio Damage:
The plugin is split into three main sections. Firstly there is the wavetable module, then the saturation/distortion algorithm section, and finally the multi-mode filter stage. There is much more to the plugin than is covered by my brief description.
Make no mistake: this is not a subtle, polite tool. With careful tuning of the provided presets, it can be tamed to normal filtering and saturation duties, but on the whole, it is a noisy, snorting beast of a plug-in, and is happiest with Full Metal audio destruction.
