PanCake 2 Free Auto-Panning VST From Cableguys

PanCake 2 Free Auto-panning Modulation VST from Cableguys

PanCake 2, from the team at Cableguys, is a free VST that allows you to set and forget your stereo panning effects. There are a lot of ways you might control stereo movement in your sounds and effects but this plugin is one that I turn to quite often. Check it out.

PanCake 2, Free From Cableguys:

You can quickly and easily set up your own unique modulation curves without leaving the plugin GUI. The transitions between one movement and another can be as gentle or as abrupt as you need. If your needs are fairly modest you can tweak a couple of controls and you’re done. Or, you can also draw in your own custom shapes.

PanCake 2 has its own internal LFO which can be beat-synced to your DAW or left free running. The handy visualisation display shows you the precise movement from left to right over time. Even if you have your own methods up your sleeve, this is a great tool to supplement them.

For the icing on the cake, not only is PanCake 2 free it’s free without any strings attached. Hit the Download button, select either Windows or macOS, then wait for the download to finish.

This isn’t a dead-end product either, as good as it is, it has a bigger sibling.  Check out PanShaper, which adds multi-band editing, stereo width controls, multiple panning modes, a preset library, and fast access to a comprehensive selection of preset curves.

At A Glance:

  • It’s free and with no signup required.
  • Available for both Windows and Mac.
  • Construct your own modulation curves in a very intuitive manner.
  • LFO speed can be set free-running from 0.02 Hz to 5.24 kHz. It can also be synced to the host sequencer, from a fast 1/128 note modulation up to 32 bars.
  • New for version 2: A precise visual display of left/right volume for helpful visual control, an option to trigger the LFO via MIDI notes, a dry/wet, plus an upgraded interface design.
