FabFilter has announced the immediate availability of their FabFilter Saturn 2 multiband distortion and saturation plugin. Every nook and cranny of the plugin has been revisited, overhauled and also added to.

FabFilter Release Saturn 2 Multiband Distortion:

Interface: The interface sees a lot of changes both in terms of looks and new functionality. It has a full-screen mode, fully visualised modulations and a complete reimagining of the controls. 

More distortion types: The number of distortions available has risen from 16 to 28, it even has new amp emulations. It goes from subtle warmth to full sonic breakdown.

Big modulation changes: With virtually no limit placed on the combination of 16-step XLFOs, Envelope Generators, Envelope Followers, XY Controllers, and MIDI sources that can be used in a preset, Saturn has always been serious about creative modulation, and Saturn 2 takes the whole system to the next level.

Mastering Grade Saturation: The new ‘Subtle’ saturation types make Saturn 2 the mastering engineer’s secret weapon, bringing enlivening presence and fizz to final mixes.
